Biography
On skis at age 3, Jeremy Bloom has made a name for
himself in both the moguls and college football circuit. Bloom entered
the U.S. Ski Team on the ‘C’ Team, only to be offered
a coaches discretionary pick for the midsummer on-snow camp in Chile.
After wowing his coaches in Chile, he was soon told that he had a
good shot at making the 2002 Olympic Team. Meanwhile, Colorado University
was holding a football scholarship for the talented wide receiver.
However, Colorado extended their offer to allow Bloom to follow his
dream of skiing in the 2002 Olympic Games. Both Colorado University
and the U.S. Ski Team have made concessions to keep Bloom in the loop.
In 2003 the sought after athlete divided his time
between playing football for Colorado and touring with the World Cup.
However, in September 2004 the NCAA banned Bloom from playing for
Colorado this season for accepting money to support his training for
the 2006 Winter Games.
Neither the NCAA nor moguls fans have seen the last
of this accomplished skier…and you too can hear his two cents
worth while skiing alongside him.
