Biography
Rahlves grabbed his first U.S. title in the GS before
moving onto the World Cup primarily in the super G and giant slalom.
By ’00 he was blowing the crowd along with his competitors away
with back-to-back downhill wins in the World Cup in Kvitfjell –
home of the 1994 Olympic speed runs. In 2003 he set a U.S. men’s
downhill record with seven top-3 finishes.
‘D’ is as intense on the downhill course
as he is with his preseason cross-training schedule: motocross, wakeboarding,
surfing, water skiing, mountain biking and free-skiing in Alaska….just
to mention a few. This guy loves speed in any form, from his ’68
Chevy Camaro to his proAir Nautique boat.
Get on the slopes at Sugar Bowl with Rahlves, and
just try to keep up.
